Brandy Hot Chocolate

How to make brandy hot chocolate:

Quantity

Ingredients
1 litre (1 3/4 pints) Milk
115g (4 oz) Plain chocolate, broken
2 tbsp Sugar
5 tbsp Brandy
   
To Decorate  
6 tbsp Whipped cream
4 tsp Cocoa powder


Method
Gently boil the milk in a large heavy based saucepan, remove as boiling point is reached. Place chocolate in a small pan and add 2 tablespoons of the milk. Stir over a low heat until melted, then stir mixture into the remaining milk. Add the sugar and brandy.

Serve the brandy hot chocolate in tall heatproof glasses, top with a dollop of whipped cream lightly dusted with cocoa powder.
