How to make Choco-Dipped Dates:

| 115g (4oz) |
flaked almonds, roasted and lightly crushed |
| 115g (4oz) |
desiccated coconut, toasted |
| 115g (4oz) |
shredded coconut, toasted |
| 2 tlsp |
sesame seeds, roasted |
| 3tblsp |
chocolate spread (Nutella) |
| 200g (7oz) |
baking chocolate, melted |
| 20 |
flaked almonds to decorate |

Method
1. Line a baking sheet with foil.
2. Mix together almonds, coconuts, sesame seeds and the chocolate spread in a bowl.
3. Cut the dates in half lengthways and remove pit.
4. Sandwich together with the nut filling and smooth with fingers to reform shape.
5. Freeze for 30 mins.
6. Using 2 forks dip each date in the melting chocolate to coat. And place on the foil prepared tray.
7. Top each date with a flaked almond and leave to set.
For a special occasion such as parties or Christmas mix metallic dust and vegetable oil to form a thin paste and brush onto each almond. Makes 20.
