How to make Chocolate Steamed Pudding:

Self-raising flour |

Cocoa powder |
75g (3oz) |
Shredded suet or softened butter |
50g (2oz) |
Caster sugar |

6 Tablespoons |

Method
Grease a 1.1 litre (2 pint) pudding basin.
Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, suet or butter
and sugar. Make a well in the centre and add the
egg and enough milk to give a soft dropping consistency.
Pour into the prepared basin. Cover with pleated
greaseproof paper or foil and secure with string.
Steam for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
Instead of using cocoa powder you could add 25g (1 oz) chocolate chips to the basic mixture instead.
