Chocolate Bavarian Slice

How to make Chocolate Bavarian Slice:

Quantities for Base

Ingredients
60g (2oz) Butter
1½ cups Digestive biscuit crumbs

Quantities for Filling

Ingredients
100g (3.5oz) Pack of white marshmallows
Third of a cup Milk
125g (4.5oz) Cooking chocolate
1 tablespoon Rum
3 teaspoons Gelatin
1 tablespoon Hot water
1½ cups Cream, whipped
30g (1oz) Chocolate (extra)
15g (0.5oz) White vegetable shortening (extra)


Method
Prepare crumb crust - melt butter and add biscuit crumbs. Line a 18 x 28cm lamington tin with aluminum foil and press in crumb crust.

Filling: Put marshmallows, milk and chopped chocolate in top of double saucepan over hot water. Stir until marshmallows are melted, add rum, cool. Sprinkle gelatin over hot water, stir to dissolve and add to marshmallow mixture. Fold in whipped cream and pour mixture over crumb crust base. Chill.
