How to make Banana Walnut Chocolate Truffles:
Quantity |
Ingredients |
1/4 cup
|
heavy whipping cream |
| 2 bars ( 8 ounce) |
semi sweet chocolate |
| 6 tablespoons |
unsalted butter |
| 1/4 cup |
walnuts |
| 2-3 |
bananas |

Method
Melt butter in a heavy bottom pan and add the cream to it. Let the mixture simmer and turn off the heat. Break the chocolate into pieces and add to the cream and butter mixture. Set aside for it to melt. In the meantime peel the bananas and puree it by blending in the mixer. After the chocolate and cream have melted, mix it well and add the banana puree to it. If one wants a stronger taste of the banana then add more of the pureed banana. Let the mixture refrigerate for 2-2 1/2 hours. Take the walnuts and crush them to get a coarse powder. After cooling take the mixture from the fridge and scoop out little portions with a spoon and with clean hands form balls and roll them into crushed walnuts. Set aside in an airtight tin. These need to be consumed within a week and a half. For longer lasting ones banana essence can be used.
The truffles have to be handled in a cool place and stored in one too.
