How to make rich chocolate truffle torte:

Ingredients |
| 75g (3oz) |
Butter |
| 150g (6oz) |
Digestive biscuits, crushed |
| 1 x 397g |
Can of sweetened condensed milk |
| 450g (1lb) |
Plain chocolate |
| 6 tbsp |
Brandy |
| 300ml (1/2 pint) |
Fresh double cream |

Flakes |

Method
1) Melt the butter, then stir in the crushed biscuits. Press into the base of a 8 inch loose bottomed cake tin. Chill.
2) Put the condensed milk, chocolate and brandy in a large bowl. Place over a pan of simmering water until the chocolate has melted. Using a hand whisk, beat until smooth. Leave to cool for 5 minutes.
3) Whisk the cream into the chocolate mixture and pour over the biscuit base. Allow to chill for 12 hours.
4) Crumble the flakes and scatter over the cake.
