How to make Simple and
Delicious Chocolate Sponge Sandwich Cake:

| 200g (7oz) |
flour |
| 225g (8oz) |
sugar |
| 225g (8oz) |
margarine |
| 3 |
eggs |
| splash |
milk |
| 30g (1oz) |
cocoa powder |

Method
Preheat oven to gas mark 4 (180°C or 350°F).
Cream sugar and margarine in a bowl until it's a
pale yellow colour. Then whisk eggs. Sieve 1/4 of
the flour into the mixture and stir, then add 1/4 of the
whisked egg and stir. Repeat this until all the flour
and eggs is stirred in. Sieve the cocoa powder into
the bowl then add a splash of milk. Grease two tins
and line them with grease proof paper, pour the mixture
evenly into the tins and leave in the oven for 15-20
mins.
The center of the sandwich is your choice, you can have buttercream, whipped cream, jam or anything else you can think of!
