Method
First of all you make a basic scone mix, sieve the flower into a bowl, add the butter and rub in with hands until the mixture is a fine breadcrumb texture! Then stir the sugar and the chocolate chips in. Add about 1/4 pint of whole/semi skimmed milk and mix mixture up with a wooden spoon. Roll the dough out until about 2cm thick and then use biscuit cutters or a knife and cut out as many circles as possible. Cook in a high temperature oven for 10-15 minutes until slightly golden. Bring them out to cool and when cooled melt the chocolate. Then dip the cake mix scones into the chocolate and leave to set. After you can decorate as you wish!
You don't have to use chocolate chips, how about fruit or maybe just plain! These are the perfect things to make for party's as they only take a little while and aren't that messy. The best finishing touch is sugar (white) icing or chocolate icing with maybe a few silver bobbles on top!
