How to make chocolate chip biscuits:

Vanilla essence |

Self raising flour |
| 175g (6 oz) |
Chocolate chips or broken chocolate |
| 50g (2 oz) |
Mixed chopped nuts |

Method
Preheat the oven to 190C, 375F, gas mark
5. In a large mixing bowl, cream the margarine with
both sugars until soft and fluffy. Carefully add the
egg and if necessary a little flour to stop from curdling.
Stir in the vanilla essence. Fold in the flour, add
the chocolate and nuts. Shape the mixture into small
balls and place on a greased baking tin, leaving space
between them as each chocolate chip biscuit will spread during cooking. Cook for
8-10 minutes.
