cornflakes |

plain chocolate |

|
Method
1. Chop the mars bars into small pieces and begin to melt in a bowl over a pan of hot water. 2. Add in the syrup and continue to melt. 3. Stir over the heat until there are no lumps left. 4. Add in cornflakes a handful or so at a time and stir them in, don't worry about crushing the cornflakes, it's better if they're more compact. 5. Add cornflakes until all are coated evenly. 6. Put the mixture in a tray (lined with foil) and press down, using a spoon (but fingers do the job best!). It's very sticky! 7. Melt the plain chocolate and then pour over the cornflake mixture in the tray. 8. Leave to set and then cut into squares.
The chocolate is very difficult to spread because it finds its way down all the little gaps so it must be done quickly!
