Country Crunch Bars

How to make country crunch bars:

Quantity

Ingredients
55g (2oz) butter
200g (7oz) plain chocolate
3 tablespoons golden syrup
225g (8oz) plain digestive or rich tea biscuits
for dusting icing sugar


Method
Put butter, chocolate and syrup in a heavy pan and heat gently stirring until all the ingredients have melted and ingredients have blended. Break biscuits into small pieces and stir into mixture. Pour into a 18cm square tin, greased and refrigerate for several hours. Turn out and cut into bars, dust with icing sugar.
